| We accept two types of insurance for patients in our office:
eyecare insurance and healthcare insurance.
Eye Care Insurance
Generally covers: routine eye examinations, eyeglasses and
contact lenses
An example is Vision Service Plan
(VSP)
The best way to know about your insurance and what it covers is to call the office. Many times, we can check online while you're on the phone and find out about your coverage.
Here is a partial list of vision insurance companies that we're providers for Avesis, Blue Cross, Clarity Vision, NVA, VSP. There are others, so just call the office and we'll do our best to explain your coverage. If we are not familiar with your insurance, we always provide an itemized bill so that you can submit a claim yourself.
Health Insurance
Generally covers health related eye visits (infections,
injuries); does not cover routine visits, glasses or contact lenses.
Examples: Medicare, BlueCross, PHCS, HHP, St. Mary's Health Plan. Some of these insurers also contract with another company for vision care. Call the office and we'll find out what you are covered for.
